Studio Technician

This course will prepare students to learn how to handle studio equipment from digital cameras to audio and lighting equipment, students who want to become a studio technician will be taught how to operate and maintain a wide variety of equipment used in television production programs. You will also receive hands-on training of all studio and control room positions as well as equipment (be it audio, switcher, character generator, even teleprompter, floor director, studio cameras, lighting as well as set design). After going through all areas, an opportunity will be given to you to demonstrate your proficiency in each area during a class project or mock productions.

What Will I Learn:
1 How to improve the sound of your voice and speak with confidence.
2 How to “sight-read” effortlessly.
3 How to shift emotional gear between news stories.
4 How to read from an autocue.
5 How to sound convincing, authoritative and persuasive
6 Breathing techniques to help you keep cool when the pressure “hots up”.
7 Learn how to speed up or slow down, and how to use inflections and pauses to make what you say more interesting.
8 How to improve your diction and pronunciation.
9 How to deliver a clear message and get the results you want.

Time of Lecture: Monday – Saturday (Flexible)
Duration: Six (6) Hours Per Week (Flexible)
Course Total Period: Twelve (12) Months
Course Total Cost Fee: GH¢ 4000 (First six months GH¢ 2000 & Second six months GH¢ 2000)
Course Details: Theory during the week & Practicals over the weekend
Required Number of Students: One (1) – Thirty – Five (35)
