Media Studies

The Radio-Television-Film program changed its name to Media Studies in 2014 to better convey the insightful and imaginative work the program conducts. The program utilizes an assortment of research strategies (including history, criticism and uses) and imaginative production (film-production, script-writing and visual communication). The Media Studies educational modules is intended to encourage an appreciation, awareness and understanding of content and messages, origins, advancement, interrelations and procedures of the media industries including:


What Will I Learn:
1 the critical, historical, social and theoretical foundations;
2 creative and commercial settings;
3 the sociocultural, mental and political effect on groups of audiences;
4 visual and social proficiency;
5 basic writing, sketch, production and technological expertise;and
6 professional experience and contacts via the internship program.

Time of Lecture: Monday – Saturday (Flexible)
Duration: Six (6) Hours Per Week (Flexible)
Course Total Period: Twelve (12) Months
Course Total Cost Fee: GH¢ 4000 (First six months GH¢ 2000 & Second six months GH¢ 2000)
Course Details: Theory during the week & Practicals over the weekend
